Have a quick look on Dödergök's blog to see these funky socks. Yes, she is Swedish and has many beautiful creations on her blog. This sock pattern she translated into English.
The cuff is knit in twisted ribbing. According to Dödergök, they have an "unusual toe and heel". The heel seems to be done like an after thought mitten thumb. Does that make sense?

I love the yarn...sock knitting still eludes me but one day when I'm knitting socks I'll re-read this post and have an idea what you are talking about. I haven't knit mittens either...I know, there's a whole world of knitting I've yet to experience.
Nice! They look a lot like Jaywalkers, which are the most comfortable socks I've ever knit!

I love this yarn and the pattern seems like it will be an adventure. I enjoy working on translated patterns to see the differences - I'm working on the Fiona All Grown-Up top and there have definitely been a few things lost in translation so far!
