Still Knitting!: Well I've Got the Yarn

I'm still alive and well in knitting land. Just to prove it, here is my newly arrived Knit Picks order organized by my knitting circle.

Baby alpaca and silk. Shawls perhaps?

I have no plans for this Chroma fingering yarn.

She did not come with my yarn order. She is the newest addition to my menagerie.

See the knitted afghan in the background. Long ago claimed by my older cat and now by Sophie.

Happy Knitting!

Sock Fantasies: Am I Normal?

Yesterday, I made a trip to the big city. There was no time for yarn shopping much to my dismay. However, much to my delight, a copy of Knit Picks latest catalogue was waiting in my mailbox when I got home.

Yarn catalogues should really be wrapped in brown paper envelopes. I spent the evening fantasizing about the lovely yarn and patterns.

Being a bit obsessed about knitting socks lately, I couldn't help being tempted to order this:

You can "pick your poison" and buy a sock kit that allows you to choose from 324 different combinations of patterns for your own unique design. I have a crush on the Violet Martini kit in the upper left corner.

Sock obsession has crept up on me and I haven't even finished knitting my first pair. Am I normal?

Happy Obsessing!
